Magazines and advertising assessment: Learner response

1) Type up your feedback in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential).EBI-Dissapointing not going to be a high grade if you don't attempt all paper you font know the csps well at all.
WWW-you seem to be able to pull out some eggs from magazine csps.

2) Read through your answers again. Write down the mark you achieved for each question:

Q1:0
Q2:1
Q3:1
Q4:
Q5:3
Q6:0

3) Write down five magazine cover conventions. Look back at the original notes if you need help.
Title of publication, slogan, free offer, central image, cover lines

4) Look at the mark scheme for this assessment. Question 3 asked you to write about how the CSP magazine covers persuade the audience to buy the product. Copy two bullet point answers for Reveal magazine and two bullet point answers for Tatler magazine from the mark scheme that you didn't use in your original answer.

REVEAL

  • The price in the top third is bold and looks like a pound coin which connotes the cheapness of the product.
  • The use of numerous images as oppose to one, central image suggeststhat the magazine offers a great deal of content and is good value for money

TATLER

  • The use of Serif font for the title gives the word ‘Tatler’ a more regal, formal and sophisticated appearance which reinforces the magazine’s brand identity as upper class and associated with style and elegance.

  • The setting is blurred which makes it look exotic and uses an outdoorlocation juxtaposed with the glamorous outfit of the model.

  • 5) Look at the mark scheme for Question 5 on the NHS Represent advert. Write down three of the people in the NHS Represent advert (include both their name and what they are famous for) and why they subvert the stereotype for gender or race/ethnicity.

Ade Apitan is represented as a disabled basketball player which suggest that you can be what ever you like.but stereotypical people would say that disabled people cant do anything with their lives.

Kenya King is the founder and ceo of the mobo awards. She is represented as someone who cares about the bame community.

The three empty chairs represent that their is only 3% of people in the bame community that donate blood and are the donors.
