One thing that the internet has changed for the music industry is that unknown singer can promote themselves for free.
Famous singers e.g. Justin Bieber became famous because of the song that he posted was a cover which got over a billion views .Most bands performed and made most there music in their bedroom this was because it reaches globally without having to spend money .This was called bedroom band where most things are filmed in there house .The advantage of this was that they could self promote their own music and they had 24 hour access to their rooms.

Since new technology has come in newspaper articles are bought less because you can  now just go onto the internet and get it for free .This has given the audience more power because they can just catch up with anything online e.g. citizen journalism  can make everything by using phones and posting it online .The disadvantage is that less people buy newspapers which means the newspaper companies make less money and the writers make less money as well .The problem because of this was that 15 years ago people had to go to the country where everything was happening and take down points.

www-your tv paragraph has clear examples and is well focused + expressed clearly.

EBI-Your literacy (written english) holds back your argument .Don't rush +always proof read for sense + accuracy .lazy not to check and your news and music paragraphs are weaker/confused.

My essay count was:454

my best paragraph was the tv paragraph because i used media terminology.

my weakest paragraph was the music industry because i did not make much sense.

industry and audience power essay

I agree with this statement because the internet has given the audience more power because you have the choice to watch anything at any time using catch up but 20 years ago you could not watch anything at anytime you would have to wait until it came on.But now if you want to communicate someone around the globe with someone you can just comment.

One thing that the internet has changed for the  music industry is that unknown singer can promote themselves for free.
Famous singers e.g Justin  he blew up because of the song that he posted was a cover which got over a billion views. At this point he had no money so he filmed everything in his room. Most bands performed and made all there music in their bedroom this is when they were poor it his called bedroom band where everything is filmed in there house. The advantage of this was that they could self promote their own music and they had 24 hour access to their rooms.

Since new technolgy has come in newspaper articles are bought less because you can  now just go onto the internet and get it for free. This has given the audience more power because they can just catch up with anything online and now journilits can make everything by there phones and post it online. The disadvantage is that less people buy newspapers which means the newspaper companies make less money and the writers make less money as well. The problem because of this was that 15 years ago people had to go to the country where everything was happening and take down points.

Before loads of channels got realised there was only four channels which you had to watch while it was on you could not pause it and try to watch it later but in reason years we have had loads of new features e.g. Catch up, Netflix and also BBC  iplayer .Now there are services were you can monthly subscriptions and watch whatever you like. Now you can use the internet and download movies legally but the negative part is you can download it illegally as well which means the producers don't make any money. The disadvantage of this is that companies are producing less interesting films and TV shows because there is other apps e.g. Netflix who produce more interesting and they get more views then original telvison show producers.Binge watching is an advantage for the audiences but it is also a disadvantage towards the TV-series because the audience can watch it faster.

I have clearly demostrated that the audience have more power toward the internet because there is more technolgy now days because people can self promote, check the news on the internet and there is more features.
